Recipes Mediterranean Meatball Pita Sandwiches
Our chicken meatballs are stuffed into pitas, topped with a fresh and flavor homemade tzatziki sauce and a simple chopped Greek salad.

Mediterranean Meatball Pita Sandwiches
Serving: 2-430 minutes
Tzatziki Sauce:
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup diced or grated cucumber
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- Black pepper to taste
Salad:
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- A pinch sea salt
- A small pinch black pepper
- 1 cup diced cucumbers
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced feta cheese
- 2–3 tablespoons kalamata or any other olives available to you, roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh minced dill
Pita Sandwiches:
- 1/2 package of Jones Dairy Farm Pork Meatballs
- 2 fresh pita bread pockets, cut in half (4 halves total)
- 1Mix tzatziki sauce. Combine yogurt, cucumber, olive oil, dried dill, garlic salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Set aside.
- 2Make salad. Whisk red wine vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, oregano, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until combined. Add cucumber, tomatoes, feta, and olives. Gently toss, then sprinkle dill over the top.
- 3Prepare meatballs according to package instructions.
- 4Warm pita in a 350°F oven or wrapped in a damp paper towel in the microwave, heating on high for 15 seconds, until warm.
- 5Assemble pita pockets. Spread a layer of tzatziki sauce into the pita bread and add a spoonful of Greek salad. Add a few meatballs and top with extra salad and tzatziki if desired.
