The tasty trio of bacon, bananas, and peanut butter unite to create a delicious bagel sandwich. Add jelly or jam for a nostalgic twist on a PBJ.

Bacon, Banana, Peanut Butter & Jelly Bagel Sandwich
Servings 435-40 minutes

  • 1 package (340 g) Jones Dairy Farm Dry Aged Bacon
  • 4 full-size bagels or 8 mini bagels
  • 120 ml (½ cup) peanut butter
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced into coins
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) jam of choice

Optional toppings for bagel tops:

  • Finishing salt or coarse salt
  • Poppy seeds
  • Sesame seeds
  • 1Line a baking sheet with foil and place a metal rack on top. Lay bacon slices on the rack. If you don’t have a rack, place the bacon directly on the foil.
  • 2Place in a cold oven and set temperature to 175°C.
  • 3Bake for 25–35 minutes, flipping bacon after 15 minutes, until desired crispness.
  • 4While bacon cooks, toast the bagels in a toaster or place them on a second tray in the oven for about 5 minutes.
  • 5Once toasted, spread 1 tablespoon peanut butter on each bagel half (½ tablespoon for mini bagels).
  • 6Layer banana slices on the bottom halves.
  • 7Spread 1 tablespoon of jam over the top halves, on top of the peanut butter (½ tablespoon for mini bagels).
  • 8When bacon is finished, pat with paper towels to remove grease. Cut slices in half.
  • 9Use 4 half-slices of bacon per full bagel (2 per mini).

    Layer your sandwich in this order:
    Bottom bagel half
    Peanut butter
    Banana slices
    Bacon
    Jam
    Top bagel half
  • 11If desired, brush the top bagels with water and sprinkle with your choice of toppings. Serve immediately.
