Recipes Air Fryer Bacon-Wrapped Fried Chicken
Quick and Easy Air Fryer recipe perfect for the holidays and parties. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Impress your family and friends with this Japanese-style “Tulip” fried chicken wrapped in Jones Dairy Farm Uncured No-Sugar bacon.
Air Fryer Bacon-Wrapped Fried Chicken
Servings: 10 pieces30 minutes
- 10 pieces of Jones Dairy Farm No Sugar Bacon
- 10 chicken wing drumettes
Seasoning:
- A 60g all-purpose flour
- A 2 teaspoons chili powder
- A 1 teaspoon paprika powder
- A 1 teaspoon ginger powder
- A 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- A 2 teaspoons salt
- A 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Cheesy Panko:
- B 4 tablespoons fine bread crumbs
- B 1 tablespoon finely grated cheese
Preparation:
- 1In two separate bowls, combine (A) and (B).
- 2Set the air fryer to 205 degrees Celsius and start preheating. (*Adjust the temperature and cooking time as needed based on your air fryer settings. Set the cooking time about 2 minutes longer than when making fried chicken.)
- 1Make a small incision around 1 cm at the thin end of each chicken wing drumette using a knife. If it’s challenging to cut with a knife, use kitchen scissors. Stand the meat up with the incision side up and with one hand, press down the meat.
- 2Apply the combined seasoning (A) to the chicken.
- 3Wrap each chicken drumette with No Sugar Bacon.
- 4Coat the wrapped chicken drumettes with the combined seasoning (B).
- 5In your preheated airfryer, cook the chicken drumettes for 17-20 minutes.
