The First Costco in Okinawa is Now Open!

Okinawa now has its first Costco, located in Nanjo City! Opened on August 24, 2024 this store is the 35th Costco in Japan and the first on the island. It’s about a 45-minute drive from Camp Foster, making it convenient for both locals and U.S. military personnel.

Costco in Okinawa offers a mix of American and Japanese products. Shoppers can find large packs of items like miso soup and green tea, as well as popular American goods. The store also has a food court, famous for affordable options like pizza slices and hot dog combos, making it easy to grab a quick bite while shopping.
