Hickory Smoked Ham Kushikatsu

- 300g Jones Dairy Farm Hickory Smoked Ham
- 1/2 onion
- 4 boiled quail eggs
- Flour, as needed
- Fine bread crumbs, as needed
- Frying oil, as needed
Batter:
- 50g flour
- 60g water
- 1 tsp white miso
Sauce:
- 40g Tonkatsu sauce
- 10g Worcestershire sauce
- 40g Mirin
- 1Combine batter ingredients together and set aside.
- 2Cut Hickory Smoked Ham into approximately 2 cm cubes. Cut onion into wedges.
- 3Wet bamboo skewers. Thread ham, onion, and ham alternatively, and the other skewer with ham, quail egg, and ham. Make 4 of each.
- 4Thinly sprinkly flour, dip in batter, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- 5Add 3 cm of frying oil into a pan and heat until 180°C.
- 6Add the skewers and fry until golden brown.
- 7Combine sauce ingredients in a heat-proof container, microwave for 1 minute, then generously coat skewers with sauce.
