Pork Patty Gratin Danish
Servings: 630 minutes
- 6 Jones Dairy Farm Breakfast Pork Patties
- 3 rectangular frozen pie sheets
- 30g butter
- 30g all-purpose flour
- 300g milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon granulated consommé
- 90g frozen spinach
- 60g shredded cheese
- 6 pieces cream cheese (at room temperature)
- 30g honey
- 10g water
- 1Make white sauce. Put butter and all-purpose flour in a heat-resistant bowl, heat uncovered in the microwave at 600w for 1 minute, and mix with a whisk.
- 2Gradually add milk while stirring. Heat uncovered in the microwave for 3 minutes, then mix well with a whisk to avoid lumps.
- 3Add frozen spinach, granulated consommé, salt, and pepper, and microwave uncovered for 2 minutes.
- 4Add shredded cheese, mix well, and let cool.
- 5Cut semi-thawed frozen pie sheets in half and roll out slightly with a rolling pin.
- 6Place cream cheese in the center of each pie sheet, then layer breakfast patties and white sauce on top.
- 7Fold the four corners of the pie sheet towards the center. Optionally, brush the surface with egg yolk for a glossy finish.
- 8Bake in a preheated oven at 230°C for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- 9Mix honey with water and brush the surface of the freshly baked Danish with a brush.
