UPSIDE DOWN SAUSAGE TARTS
Serving: 830 minutes
- 8 Jones Dairy Farm Breakfast Pork Patties, thawed
- 2 puff pastry sheet (18cm x 18cm), thawed
- 180g Gruyere cheese, freshly shredded
- 1 egg
- 1.5 Tablespoon water
- 8 sprigs of fresh thyme (2 teaspoon of dried thyme)
- 1Heat oven to 190°C
- 2Cut puff pastry into six equal rectangular pieces.
- 3Whisk egg and water together in a small bowl. Set aside for egg wash.
- 4Place pork patties on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Top with shredded cheese, fresh thyme, and a piece of puff pastry. Crimp edges of puff pastry down with a fork.
- 5Brush with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown. Let rest for about 2-3 minutes before eating.
- 6Store tarts in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat sausage tarts in a 180°C oven for best results.
